Sometimes the calendar does funny things, but sometimes it’s like this: the Wednesday before the first Monday/Tuesday of the month falls on the new month, but at least we know what games all PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to in a few days.
The first game is aimed at soccer fans, with EA Sports FC 24 Standard Edition (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) being the monthly pull title, because Electronic Arts knows that Ultimate Team games make a lot more money. The second game is surprisingly new: Ghostrunner II (PlayStation 5). The third game is also relatively new: Tunic (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). Then there’s Destiny 2: Lightfall (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). And there’s the EA Sports FC Ultimate Team Starter Pack, so the Andrew Wilson-led publisher is really trying to cash in on players. The games are available from May 7 to June 3, except for the soccer game (which is available until June 17).
Just a reminder that we still have until Monday to make sure that the PlayStation Plus Essential games for April are still available, so players with a PlayStation Plus Extra or PlayStation Plus Premium subscription can add these games to their library and then they’ll still have access for as long as they have an active subscription. Which games are we talking about? Immortals of Aveum (PlayStation 5) from Ascendant Studios, which didn’t quite live up to Electronic Arts’ expectations; Minecraft Legends (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), a multiplatform game from Mojang, a Microsoft subsidiary; and Skul: The Hero Slayer (PlayStation 4), a 2D action platformer. Also available for a limited time to PlayStation Plus members is the Overwatch 2 Mega Bundle (legendary skins: Beekeeper Sigma, Art Deco Symmetra; epic skins: Runner Sojourn, Punker Queen Junker Queen, Construction Ramattra, Matsuri Kiriko, Cassia Lifeweaver, Amethyst Illari, Rugby Mauga; five Battle Pass Tier skips).
Interestingly, for months a French leaker, billbil-kun, hasn’t leaked much about the PlayStation Plus offering, despite being our trusted source for a long time (sometimes days before the official announcement).
