Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut: A Great Start on PC [VIDEO]

With the third most concurrent players on Nixxes Software’s PC port, it managed to beat several major Sony IPs at launch, which is not a bad start.

Despite requiring a PlayStation Network account to play Ghost of Tsushima: Legends for the game’s online mode, the Sucker Punch-created IP (which has an adaptation and most likely a sequel in the works) reached the third most concurrent PC players with nearly 58,000. That leaves Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us Part I, and the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Only God of War and Helldivers 2 are ahead of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. The list goes something like this:

  • Helldivers 2 – 458709
  • God of War – 73529
  • Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut – 57934
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition – 56557
  • Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition – 40462
  • The Last of Us Part I – 36496
  • Days Gone – 27450
  • Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection – 10851
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – 8757
  • Helldivers Dive Harder Edition – 6744
  • Returnal – 6691

Comparison videos have also been made, courtesy of Cycu1 and Terra Ware, so you can see Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut PlayStation 5 and PC versions side by side, and there’s not much difference between the two platforms. The PC version has a higher resolution, which results in a clearer and sharper image. The PC version looks slightly better thanks to better quality shadows, volumetric fog and ambient occlusion. Other graphics cards have also been added, with several Nvidia GeForce graphics cards (RTX 3080, RTX 4060, RTX 4070, RTX 4080) running the Nixxes software port. These pictures were taken by MxBenchmarkPC.

Since you can use both DLSS and FSR in the port (we wrote about this yesterday), it’s a high-quality port.
