Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II: Introducing the Multiplayer Modes [VIDEO]

In Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment’s game, your character will be as customizable as you’ll ever see in, say, Helldivers 2.

Fans old and new are in for a multiplayer treat. In addition to bringing back Warhammer 40K: Space Marine’s iconic battle against the Chaos Space Marines in three 6v6 PvP modes (Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture & Control), Space Marine II features an all-new cooperative mode that lets you slay Xenos with up to two friends in the three-player Operations mode.

In each PvE and PvP mode, players can choose from six available classes, ranging from the unflinching Bulwark with his Combat Shield to the stealthy Sniper with his Camouflage Cloak. Players will also be able to customize their Space Marines from helmet to greaves with a wide selection of colors, heraldic decals, chalices, gauntlets, and more. While new content such as missions, enemies, and weapons will be available to all players through regular free updates, the Season Pass will grant even more cosmetics.

Those who pre-order Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 will receive the Macragge’s Chosen DLC. The Base Edition costs $70, the Gold Edition costs $100, the Ultra Edition costs $110, and the Collector’s Edition costs $250. The Gold Edition includes the base game and Macragge’s Chosen DLC, the Season Pass, the Steelbook (at participating retailers), and you can play the game four days early. The digital-only Ultra Edition omits the Steelbook, but includes everything from the Gold Edition, plus the Ultramarines Champion Pack, which includes two unique cosmetics for your Heavy Bolter and Power Armor. The Collector’s Edition includes everything in the Gold and Ultra Editions, plus an exclusive Collector’s Box containing a unique piece of artwork, a finely painted and detailed Lieutenant Titus resin statue (8.25 x 6.7″), the Collector’s Edition Steelbook, and the previously leaked 172-page The Art and Making of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 art book. This can only be ordered from the Focus Entertainment website.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine II will be released on September 9th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
