New Halo Infinite Game Mode Inspired by Call of Duty [VIDEO]

The only problem with 343 Industries’ update to the game is that it won’t be a permanent part of Halo Infinite, although it would make sense for it to be a permanent part of the game, since no one would miss it that way.

Halo Infinite’s new gameplay mode is indeed inspired by Activision Blizzard’s IP, but more specifically, it was the Call of Duty: Zombies mode that inspired the multiplayer portion of Master Chief’s story. While it’s true that Halo Infinite is much more advanced and polished than what the sci-fi shooter represented at launch, it still has a long way to go to live up to the standards set by Bungie. This may be something that Microsoft’s studio will never achieve.

Perhaps that’s why Microsoft is considering making Halo Infinite a multiplatform title, so that it can follow in the footsteps of Sea of Thieves or Hi-Fi Rush, for example, and make an appearance on the PlayStation 5. The new game mode is called Survive The Undead. According to the official description, it “blends the Halo Firefight experience with the fan-favorite COD Zombies mode, resulting in fast-paced, intense and sometimes gruesome gameplay.

Gameplay is divided into rounds and the goal is survival. Weapons can be purchased, scores can be used to break records, and the Pack-A-Punch machine seen in Call of Duty: Zombies will make an appearance in Halo Infinite Survive the Undead, created by The Forge Falcons. So it’s not 343 Industries that created this directly, but fans of the Halo Forge gameplay mode implemented the timed gameplay mode. That’s the problem: only limited time. Why can’t Survive the Undead be made permanent in Halo Infinite?

Will the developers be financially compensated for their work? The answer to this question is unknown. Halo Infinite is available for the Xbox Series, PC and Xbox One…
