[SOP 2024] Ballad Of Antara – This Fantasy RPG Made Our Jaws Drop! [VIDEO]

Developed by TipsWork Studio and published by Infold Games, Ballad of Antara is scheduled for release sometime in 2025.

If you like action-packed fantasy RPGs, you’re in for a treat. The PlayStation State of Play event surprised its entire community with a new game. The latter, in addition to being set in a dark and magical world, promises spectacular battles with gigantic creatures. It is an adventure game called Ballad of Antara, developed by TipsWorks Studio and published by Infold Games, which will be available sometime in 2025.

As we can see in the trailer below, Ballad of Antara will take us to a decaying universe that still stands out with its breathtaking visuals.

However, players won’t have much time to enjoy the scenery. Because TipsWorks Studio’s game aims to challenge control through fast-paced battles against incredible bosses.

What exactly is the game about in terms of plot? A distant land is on the brink of collapse due to a century of conflict and subsequent invasion. Our character embarks on a dangerous journey searching for divine beings to “reclaim the twisted and lost fundamentals of the world“. It is interesting that back in 1997, an RPG called Betrayal in Antara was published by Sierra On-Line as a spiritual successor to the much more famous Betrayal at Krondor. It seems that despite the similarity in the title, the two projects have nothing to do with each other…

Other State of Play surprises in addition to Ballad of Antara

While it’s true that the community received some leaked information about PlayStation State of Play content, such as the new ASTRO BOT or the PC port of God of War: Ragnarok, the event also surprised players with a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, among other things. So, the PlayStation community has a few games to watch out for in the coming months.
