What Can We Expect From The Next Gears Game? Here Are Some Fresh Snippets Of Info!

The next Gears, it seems, will be complete in terms of game modes, and all indications are that it will also get multiplayer.

Are you looking forward to Gears of War: E-Day? This is natural, since the next game from The Coalition promises a bloody and intense experience, even though we have only seen the first trailer. We don’t know anything about the title, features, or gameplay, but more details about what to expect from the upcoming third-person shooter in the Xbox franchise have recently surfaced.

The Coalition’s creative director, Matt Searcy, and brand director, Nicole Fawcette, gave an interview to Windows Central.

In this conversation, many previously unknown details were revealed. One of these revolves around game modes, specifically multiplayer or online modes. The Coalition is far from officially confirming these game modes. However, it has been hinted that they will.

“I would say, this is the next mainline Gears game. Gears has a pretty clear DNA for gameplay modes, so you can probably anticipate where we’ll be going with E-Day,” said Searcy. Given that nearly every Gears of War game has competitive multiplayer and PvE Horde modes, E-Day will likely have a unique approach. Granted, you can expect it to be a bit more ambitious this time around, given that it’s been in development for years.

More details on Gears of War: E-Day

A few days ago, it was announced that Gears of War: E-Day wants to bring back the “horror” atmosphere of the first games. This can already be seen in the tone of the first trailer. In addition, we can expect a classic style in terms of the gameplay. In other words, we can prepare for destructible E-Day tracks and move away from the open world. All of this will be achieved with the graphics engine they use, Unreal Engine 5, which promises to impress players from a technical point of view as well.
