One of the games that could surprise the community this summer is Concord. Pretty much everyone who’s had a chance to play the upcoming PlayStation-exclusive game agrees on that. Firewalk Studios’ title debuts in its entirety on August 23rd for PS5 and PC. It will cost 40 euros. Many players would instead try the game to see if they would like the hero shooter. If you are one of them, then we have good news because the Concord beta is coming soon!

PlayStation has announced on its official blog the dates for the early access open beta for those who pre-order Concord, as well as the first open beta for a title from Firewalk Studios, regardless of whether you have purchased the game or not.

This is July 18-21. between July 12-14 for everyone, although users who purchased Concord they can also play with it between, and they also get four additional codes that they can share with their friends.

Both periods will be playable on PC and PS5. We will be able to enable cross-play on both platforms. In case you were wondering, the beta will contain 16 characters. So, from that point of view, we’re talking about a pretty comprehensive title. Concord is reminiscent of Guardians of the Galaxy in tone and aesthetics. But that’s not the most striking thing about the multiplayer hero shooter. There is a story behind it that gives meaning to the whole thing, which you can discover for yourself.

Microtransactions in Concord have been confirmed to be cosmetic only

We’ve already said that Concord will have up to 16 characters, all of which promise to be extensively customizable. Cosmetics can be unlocked using microtransactions. However, VGC contacted Firewalk and confirmed that the game’s monetization (apart from the €40 price tag) only includes microtransactions for skins and cosmetics.

“All included when you buy the game, and seasonally we’re providing new maps, new modes, and new characters, alongside their unfolding story,” he explained.

“There are purely cosmetic pieces that you can choose to further customize the look of your character, that you can choose to purchase. Those do not affect gameplay. We believe so strongly that the full experience should be available to all of our players,” – says Concord IP Director Kim Kreines.
