Star Wars: Bounty Hunter: Jango Fett’s Multiplatform Attack [VIDEO]

Since the original game was only released for PS2 and GameCube in 2002 (and the former port only visited the PlayStation 4 in 2016), Aspyr’s remaster allows us to play the original LucasArts-developed game on all modern platforms.

Bring in your bounty, dead or alive. Become the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy! As Jango Fett, you’ll have to jump, jetpack, climb and maneuver in this iconic action-adventure game, which features a host of visual enhancements on modern platforms, as well as Steam Deck support and a host of DualSense controller features for PlayStation 5 players. And for the first time ever, completing the campaign will allow players to unlock a new Boba Fett skin for their next playthrough, unlocking an infamous Easter egg from the original game!

In this classic third-person action-adventure, you’ll play as Jango Fett, Prime Clone of the Grand Army of the Republic, hired to capture a deranged Dark Jedi. Experience the legendary bounty hunter fantasy set before the events of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. Face enemies and maneuver through acrobatic battles in this adaptation optimized for today’s consoles and hardware. Fight your way through the underbelly of the galaxy, armed with dual blasters, your flamethrower, your whipcord, and pure Mandalorian rage.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter was originally only released on PS2 and GameCube in 2002, and for years was only available on PlayStation 4 on the PS2 Classics list of modern platforms. However, Aspyr will be releasing the remaster for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, which can be purchased for $20. The release date is August 1.

Aspyr doesn’t sound quite so pat when we hear their name associated with the Star Wars IP. The Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, which brought the two original Battlefront games from 2004 and 2005 to modern platforms, was released in scandalously poor condition.
