Now’s your chance to grab two free PC games that you can download and keep forever, even though you don’t have much time left. This time it is not the Epic Games Store or Steam that distributes the free games, but the honor goes to Itch.io, which specializes in indie titles. For a limited time, you can add two free PC games to your library! Although not the most exciting titles you can think of, they are still worth a try. (Especially for free…)

The first is called Pine Creek: The Book of Judith. It is described as “a cozy-thriller adventure game focused on exploration, story, and following clues. Have friends, think about life, think about death, eat tasty food, and play games in the arcade!”

It appears to be a “3D remake of the original Game Boy release”, but it’s now available on PC instead, with new features and a fresh paint job.

The second game is Larger Than Light, whose official description reads: “Traverse shadows by manipulating light in this 2.5D puzzle platform game.”

Its story follows a haunted school that must be navigated with the help of Skia, the shadow, and Lux, the light bulb, as they work together to find their way through the paths to the exit.

The pair don’t seem to get along too well. So much of the story is about them overcoming their differences and learning to work together.

Both games are now free to download and play in their entirety. But there’s a good chance they won’t be free forever. Regardless, they are pretty cheap even at full price. Whether you buy them now or later is up to you.

They’re worth checking out, especially Larger Than Light, which looks like a fantastic little platformer.
