Disney Doesn’t Care About George Lucas’ Star Wars Legacy: a Jedi is Now Gone!

MOVIE NEWS – There are plenty of Star Wars characters we don’t know much about, but they can still capture the attention of dedicated fans; one of them is the one the Mouse Empire wiped off the face of the Earth!

Star Wars I – The Phantom Menace starred Jedi Master Yaddle, a member of the Jedi Council who was barely seen in the prequel film, but whose fate was decided in the animated series Star Wars: Histories, available on Disney Plus. But there was another Jedi Master who was briefly seen in The Phantom Menace. His name was Yarael Poof, but he later appeared in the Star Wars Legends comics.

Yarael Poof resembled an upside-down, stringy bogeyman, but despite his appearance, he remains beloved by some Star Wars fans and has become a cult favorite. However, once Disney got their hands on the Star Wars license (which then reduced the involvement of George Lucas, the creator of the franchise), the character disappeared completely! According to CBR, Disney canceled Yarael Poof because of his resemblance to the Kaminoans in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. That’s the simple reasoning behind the erasure of the past! Although you could say it is logical, it sounds too simple and they could have done better.

There’s not much chance that Jedi Master Yarael Poof will return in any form, but you never know what might happen in the future. Yaddle also has a backstory, so who knows, he might get an episode in Star Wars: Histories. It’s not up to us, it’s up to Disney. We recently wrote about the company and how it may be the victim of a massive leak, with over 1 terabyte of data falling into unauthorized hands.

The latest live-action Star Wars production is The Acolyte. New episodes of the show are released weekly on Disney Plus. The final eighth episode arrives on the streaming service tomorrow, July 16, so it’s not a very long series.
