MOVIE NEWS – Stranger Things shows what we can expect from the postponed season in a new behind-the-scenes video.
One of the most popular series in history, Stranger Things, has now given fans a massive taste of the series’ final season! Among others, we saw Linda Hamilton on the set for the first time in their promotions…
Launched on Netflix in 2016, Stranger Things infiltrated the culture with its thrilling story of children living in Hawkins, Indiana, battling hostile beings from another dimension hell-bent on taking over our world. From Dungeons & Dragons to H.P. Featuring everything from Lovecraftian elements, Stranger Things is widely considered one of the best sci-fi horror series out there.
Season 5 is slated to debut sometime in 2025 after a long delay due to the 2023 WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Thanks to a new behind-the-scenes video released by Netflix, we can now see what’s in store for the final season of Stranger Things. Featuring actors, sets, and nostalgic clips from previous seasons, the video is sure to add to the hype surrounding Season 5.
“I started when I was 10. I’m now 20 years old. Feels very weird,” star Millie Bobby Brown says at one point, emphasizing how much Stranger Things has become a part of her life. “We’re just kind of savouring every moment,” adds Sadie Sink, who joined the series in Season 2 as Max Mayfield.
What can fans expect from Stranger Things Season 5?
The series stars have continuously given a taste of the final season over the past months. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer call it “Season 1 on steroids”. This is in line with what star Maya Hawke said about Stranger Things’ swan song – which we know will be eight episodes in total – calling the next season “eight mini-movies”.
Jamie Campbell Bower, who joined the series in Season 4 as the villainous Vecna, further hyped the show’s Season 5 last month when he described it as “completely insane.”
“It’s bigger. It’s just completely insane. It’s completely insane. If you thought last season was nuts, this season is just out of control, wild, like, it’s bonkers. It really, really is.”
Stranger Things season 5 has primarily wrapped filming. But fans will have to wait long before the final season airs on Netflix in 2025.
