The Reputation System Returns to The Witcher 3!

CD Projekt RED has unlocked endless possibilities by releasing the REDkit toolkit to the public, allowing secrets from the Polish company’s previous games to come to light.

Since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015, more and more content that was originally planned but never made it into the game has returned in the form of mods (we recently reported on the boat races and the longer ending, for example). When a mod is installed, the choices and behavior of players in different regions will result in different reputation points. There are five levels (hated, disliked, neutral, liked, respected), and according to the modder, the different levels of reputation also affect the economy of the region. It also affects betting and trading.

When we are hated, prices are 30% higher, we get 70% less money for the items we sell, we lose 20% of the multiplier for bargaining, and we lose 50% of the multiplier for betting. At the disliked level, prices are 15% higher, we get 15% less for the items we sell, the multiplier for bargaining is -10% and the multiplier for betting is -25%. The neutral level is the same as in the base game. At the liked level, prices are reduced by 15%, we get 15% more when we sell something, the bargaining multiplier is +10% and the betting multiplier is +50%. At the respected level, prices are reduced by 30%, we get 30% more for what we sell, the negotiation multiplier is 20% higher, and the betting multiplier has changed by +100%.

The mod is called The Witcher 3 Reputation System Mod and can be downloaded from Nexus Mods. The site explains how to install it, and of course this time it is only available for PC users, but for them it can be used in both the original version and the next-gen update edition.
