How stupid does it look that Gabe Newell’s company has a game that is leaking, but Valve just doesn’t want to announce it…?
Deadlock is a third-person MOBA shooter with different characters (heroes), abilities and a Dota 2-like map. Many people play it every day. There is nothing wrong with that, but there are some questions when you add the fact that this game is still not acknowledged by Valve to exist! Despite this, the audience is so large that there is already a subreddit for Deadlock with over 3500 members…
The subreddit is defined as the first community for Deadlock, a third-person MOBA developed by Valve Corporation. It was launched three months ago, and that’s when the images and videos started leaking onto the Internet. There hasn’t been much activity since the launch, but digging deeper reveals several players who have been quietly trying out Deadlock during alpha testing. One user, fwa451, thinks Valve should make the sharp turns in the zipline more curvy, but it hasn’t really bothered him before. He recently played BioShock Infinite and found the zipline to be much more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
The Dathost account has already started experimenting with dedicated servers for Deadlock, and it works flawlessly, as do the other games. They already have servers in Europe and North America. Tbmode has played Deadlock so much that he’s asking Valve for more characters, and elsewhere you can read that there’s a debate about character balance, the early build of the game keeps crashing, and they can’t even agree on how much of a shooter or MOBA Deadlock is.
So these are pretty sophisticated issues, even though it’s a game that hasn’t been announced yet. When will Valve say something official about it? It’s about time!
