TECH NEWS – PlayStation is working on an essential feature of the PS Store. For now, the game review is limited to only a few games and a limited group of users…
Are you a gamer who likes to read video game reviews written by other gamers? If so, then you can use the Steam platform for this, as it is one of the most comprehensive, even though there are, unfortunately, quite a lot of troll reviews in the Valve store. A similar feature appears to be coming to the PlayStation Store as well.
A recent Reddit post revealed that PlayStation will now allow players to write reviews in the PS Store. Sony has yet to comment on this. But at least we already know some interesting details about the system. As reported by Eurogamer, it appears that in order to participate and write, players will need to own a digital copy of a few select games.
For example, with a digital copy of Resident Evil 4 Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite and Helldivers 2.
PlayStation allows you to write reviews for PS Store games
Some users have reported that PlayStation invites certain players via e-mail to share their opinions and leave feedback about these games. Please note that a digital copy is required to participate. Reviews can only be written via the PS website, so you don’t need to use a controller.
As you can see in the image shared in the Reddit post (see below), the rating (0-10) depends on how many stars you give the game. You can even give the review a title. There is also a box to check in case your review contains spoilers. All of this is necessary so that you don’t spoil the experience for players who haven’t finished the game yet. It’s not yet known when we’ll see this system widely available on the PS Store, but it seems pretty apparent that soon…
When did PlayStation start allowing written reviews? Seems to only be allowed for few games on their store pages for now.
