Meet the UK’s Wealthiest Gaming Moguls – See Who Tops The Sunday Times’ Exclusive List!

The Sunday Times has unveiled its first-ever Gaming Rich List, spotlighting the UK’s top 30 wealthiest game developers and content creators. Leading the pack are Russian-born brothers Igor and Dmitry Bukhman, who have amassed an incredible fortune of £12.5 billion. The Bukhmans, who also secured the 27th spot on the overall Sunday Times Rich List for 2024, co-founded Playrix, the studio behind popular mobile games like Township, Fishdom, and Homescapes.

The list is heavily populated by game developers, with the legendary Grand Theft Auto creators Sam and Dan Houser coming in 4th place, boasting an estimated net worth of £350 million. Neil Taylor, co-founder of the Game retail chain, is another notable entry.

Other prominent figures on the list include Riccardo Zacconi, co-founder and former CEO of King, who is valued at £410 million, and Garry Newman, the mind behind Garry’s Mod, with £335 million. Sean Murray, co-founder of Hello Games and the brains behind No Man’s Sky, has an estimated wealth of £94 million. The Kingsley brothers, Chris and Jason, who founded Rebellion, are also featured with a combined wealth of £120 million.

Beyond developers, content creators have also made their mark. KSI and The Sidemen, one of the UK’s most popular YouTube groups, are ranked 21st with a combined wealth of £50 million. KSI (Olajide Olatunji) and his fellow Sidemen members have built an empire that extends beyond YouTube, including a clothing line, a vodka brand, and a restaurant chain, all contributing to their substantial fortune.
