As famous gaming industry analyst Daniel Ahmad pointed out on X/Twitter, there are Chinese establishments (mainly hot springs/spas) that take advantage of the game’s popularity to attract customers. “A lot of these establishments have entertainment rooms where you can do karaoke, watch movies and play games,” he says of the multitude of such places.

“Families often spend days at these places, and the owners promote Black Myth: Wukong to attract people. According to Maituan’s latest data, the search volume for ‘Chinese baths’ on the platform has increased by 40%, and searches for keywords related to ‘night baths’ have increased significantly more,” explains Ahmad.

In addition to all this, it has also been reported that Chinese players playing Black Myth: Wukong will be able to visit tourist sites for free.

Black Myth: Wukong is a big hit

As the days pass and the game continues to increase its sales numbers, it seems that 10 million copies sold is just the beginning for Game Science.
