Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Could Surpass Baldur’s Gate 3 in One Key Aspect!

The next game from Daniel Vávra and Warhorse Studios will be able to set a world record in a certain aspect, and because of that, the Czech game isn’t too shabby…

In more ways than one, the sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance will run circles around the first part. However, the big game needed more time to develop, so this RPG has not escaped the delay either, as it will be released on current-gen platforms in February instead of the previously planned fall release at the end of the year. (It’s not alone, as both Obsidian Entertainment and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from The Chinese Room have also been delayed to 2025, leaving Dragon Age: The Veilguard for this year…)

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 director Vávra announced on Twitter that the final script for the game is 2.2 million words long. This beats the current world record holder, Baldur’s Gate 3, and that too can be described as a huge, meaningful RPG. The 2.2 million words also deserve some context: it’s half the size of Robert Jordan’s fifteen-book Wheel of Time series (4.4 million words total). But that doesn’t mean Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can compete with Baldur’s Gate 3 in terms of length!

In WCCFTech’s experience, Warhorse has increased the amount of background dialogue, and there are short exchanges outside of the usual dialog, similar to what we saw in Red Dead Redemption 2. This should also guarantee that we won’t hear repetition in the speeches within 2-3 hours. This should be a pleasant surprise.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released on February 13th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. And it won’t be changed again, although you never know with these release dates…
