The New The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 Projectors: Samsung’s Latest Laser Technology for Home Users

TECH NEWS – Samsung has announced The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 projectors, which are among the company’s latest home entertainment developments. These ultra-short throw projectors offer 4K resolution, advanced sound technology, and new features to transform most home environments into a home theater.

“With the The Premiere product line, Samsung aims to elevate home entertainment to a new level. We combine the latest laser solutions with user-friendly features to deliver exceptional picture and sound quality,” said Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business. “Our new developments provide solutions that can become the central devices of home entertainment and set a new standard in this field.”

Image and Sound Quality Characteristics

The newest members of the Samsung The Premiere projector family are designed to meet users’ entertainment needs. The Premiere 9 model uses three-channel laser technology that increases color accuracy and brightness, while both models offer ultra-short throw distance and 4K resolution, with screen sizes up to 130 inches.

Both models support the HDR10+ standard, ensuring clear and vivid images even in bright environments. The Premiere 9 model covers 154% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, while the Premiere 7 model covers 100%, with brightness levels reaching 3450 ISO lumens (The Premiere 9) and 2500 ISO lumens (The Premiere 7).

The projectors feature AI image enhancement capabilities such as AI upscaling and Vision Booster, which automatically optimize image quality according to different lighting conditions. The AI upscaling displays content in 4K quality regardless of the original resolution.

Built-in Dolby Atmos speakers provide powerful sound without the need for additional audio equipment. The Premiere 9 model comes with 40W 2.2.2 channel upward-firing speakers, while the Premiere 7 model has 30W 2.2 channel speakers for a richer surround sound experience.

Operating System and Connectivity Options

Both projectors come with Samsung’s Tizen OS Home operating system, providing access to the most popular streaming services and other content. Users can customize the projection surface with various widgets using the Custom Ambient feature and control the projector’s operation from their phone with the SmartThings app.

The devices also function as smart speakers, featuring voice control and music apps to enhance the user experience. Users can benefit from the Tap View and Mobile Mirroring features, which allow content sharing on the big screen. The built-in voice assistant support and SmartThings integration enable compatibility with other smart home devices, such as lighting, thermostats, or security systems.

Design and Availability

The The Premiere projectors feature a clean, warm white design with premium Kvadrat fabric covering that harmonizes with home environments. Their compact size and easy installation make it possible to quickly and easily use the projectors in any room.

Setting up the projectors is simple, requiring only a connection to the power supply and a wireless network. The ultra-short throw distance options minimize the need for more complex installation processes, allowing users to quickly enjoy the big screen experience.

The The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 projectors are expected to be available in the fall in Samsung’s official online store in Hungary. Prices are set at 5,999.99 USD for The Premiere 9 and 2,999.99 USD for The Premiere 7. More details are available on Samsung’s website.
