The Apprentice: The Film About Donald Trump to Be Released in Hungary!

MOVIE NEWS – Sebastian Stan portrays young Donald Trump in the film The Apprentice, which competed at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The film will be released in Hungarian cinemas at the end of October, distributed by ADS.

 

The Apprentice is set during the early years of Donald Trump’s business career in the ’70s and ’80s. The focus is on the relationship between real estate agent Trump and prosecutor Roy Cohn, who worked with Senator Joseph McCarthy during his anti-communist campaign in the 1950s.

The film premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, with its overseas premiere scheduled for October. The Apprentice is directed by Iranian-Danish Ali Abbasi (*Holy Spider*, *The Last of Us*) and written by Gabriel Sherman (*Independence Day: Resurgence*). Starring Sebastian Stan (*Avengers* films), the film also features Jeremy Strong (*Succession*) as Roy Cohn, Maria Bakalova (*Borat Subsequent Moviefilm*) as Trump’s wife, and Martin Donovan (*Tenet*) as his father.

The Apprentice is expected to be released in Hungarian cinemas on October 24, 2024, distributed by ADS Service.
