Star Wars Outlaws: First Major Patch Released, Steady Improvements Follow!

The gigabyte is almost 2GB regardless of the platform, and one of them just got a little bigger with a major update for Massive Entertainment’s latest game.

Players have been bombarding the studio with tons of feedback, and in response, the developers have begun fine-tuning Star Wars Outlaws in addition to fixing bugs. For those of you using Ubisoft Connect, you now have the ability to cross progression and move your save, making it possible to move your save and achievements between platforms. Ubisoft has provided more details on this in a blog post.

The 1.1.2 update for Star Wars Outlaws is, as mentioned, a rather hefty patch, coming in at 1.89 GB on PC, 1.92 GB on PlayStation 5, and even more than two gigs on Xbox Series (2.25 GB). The addition of ray tracing and frame generation technology makes Ubisoft’s game look a little nicer on PC. The frame rate has been fixed in certain scenes, it doesn’t crash as often and the stability of Star Wars Outlaws has been improved on all platforms.

The biggest change is the one we reported on recently: Massive has also improved stealth, so the mission is no longer doomed to failure if someone sees us and we don’t have a chance to react. The PlayStation 5 also unlocks the Old School Cool trophy, which makes the Platinum trophy unlockable. The hyperspace mission finally allows you to take off (a bug prevented this), and several other bugs and glitches in the cutscenes have been removed from the latest Star Wars game.

Those playing on an ultra-wide screen can finally see the scenes properly, so the level of immersion can be much greater. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the game is in excellent condition, and it’s no coincidence that the sword of Damocles is hanging over Ubisoft’s management (we wrote about this recently, with one shareholder calling for their replacement…).
