TECH NEWS – Seven models from Samsung’s 2024 Neo QLED and QLED series have received the industry’s first VDE certification for True Cinema Black and HDR Brightness Accuracy.

We are proud that our Neo QLED TVs have received the VDE certification, the first of its kind in the industry.”

Bringing Film Colors to Life

Samsung’s 2024 Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs, along with a QLED 4K model, have received the industry’s first HDR Brightness Accuracy certification. This certification confirms that the recognized models accurately display the brightness levels of HDR content, meet HDR standards, and offer picture quality that closely approximates what the human eye perceives.

HDR technology enhances both the light and dark areas of the image, displaying it in rich detail and realism, bringing films to life. Whether in the living room, bedroom, office, or kitchen, users can enjoy exceptional cinematic experiences with Samsung Neo QLED and QLED TVs in any room.

Enhancing the Home Visual Experience

Seven models from Samsung’s 2024 Neo QLED and QLED series set a new standard in home entertainment by being the first to receive the True Cinema Black certification, which validates exceptional local dimming performance. The TVs can transform widescreen films into a 4:3 aspect ratio without light blooming, preserving the cinematic feel.

The certification is based on stringent evaluations that assess display black levels in the Letterbox screen area, ensuring these areas remain rich and captivating during viewings of official images from the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) – following Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA®) guidelines. The excellent local dimming eliminates unwanted light interference, allowing viewers to enjoy films as originally envisioned by creators: with deep blacks and vivid details for a true cinematic experience.

Samsung’s commitment to innovation and quality has led to the development of TVs that meet the industry’s most rigorous standards. The 2024 Neo QLED series with True Cinema Black and HDR Brightness Accuracy certifications delivers an unparalleled home visual experience, allowing users to experience world-class picture quality.
