Valve’s digital platform has seen some huge discounts on some of its biggest titles, so if you’ve missed out on any of the PC ports, now’s a good time to pick them up.
The PlayStation Publisher Sale 2024 has launched on Steam, a tried and tested strategy in Gabe Newell’s marketing that sees publishers offer big discounts on their games from time to time. Now it’s Sony’s turn. The list below looks like this: game name – current price/previous price (then the same in USD) – discount percentage:
- Helldivers Dive Harder Edition – €4/€20 ($4/$20) – 80%
- Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – €6.6/€20 ($6.6/$20) – 67%
- Days Gone – €12.5/€50 ($12.5/$50) – 75%
- Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition – €12.5/€50 ($12.5/$50) – 75%
- God of War – €20/€50 ($20/$50) – 60%
- Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection – €25/€50 ($25/$50) – 50%
- Sackboy: A Big Adventure – €30/€60 ($30/$60) – 50%
- Helldivers 2 – €32/€40 ($32/$40) – 20%
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered – €36/€60 ($36/$60) – 40%
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – €30/€50 ($30/$50)- 40%
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – €36/€60 ($36/$60) – 40%
- Returnal – €36/€60 ($36/$60) – 40%
- The Last of Us Part 1 – €36/€60 ($36/$60) – 40%
- Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut – €42/€60 ($42/$60) – 20%
- Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition – €48/€60 ($48/$60) – 20%
So there are significant discounts and at least 20% off the price of the digital platform that many people use. Most of the games received excellent PC ports (well, some were in a sloppy state to begin with, such as The Last of Us Part 1), or at least the quality of the transcripts was not substandard. There are some older games (Helldivers Dive Harder Edition and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture are examples), but the rest can be considered fairly new and relevant titles.
The only question is whether our wallets can afford it.
