Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Will All Platforms Support High Frame Rates? [VIDEO]

The next installment in Ubisoft’s franchise may not be playable at 30 FPS, but that’s just rumor…

According to rumors, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will have a 60 FPS graphics mode on all platforms. So PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, macOS and iPadOS could all offer the high frame rate (and in the case of PlayStation 5 Pro, this would be a foregone conclusion as it will be in stores the week before the French publisher’s game launches…). Rumor has it that the PlayStation 5 Pro will have the best image quality, although this will certainly be surpassed by a top-of-the-line PC.

The rumor came from a Twitter user named Arabhardware, which was then translated and confirmed by an account focused on Assassin’s Creed. The use of the AnvilNext engine has also improved the physics of the game, according to the rumor, and it was also mentioned that, for example, if opponents stand in the sun for too long, they can get sunstroke, which can cause them to faint. The weather system could affect events in much the same way as it did in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If it’s raining, your enemies won’t be able to hear your footsteps.

As Yasuke, you won’t be able to hide, and he’ll make noise when he moves, but he’ll have a bow and arrow to sneak up on enemies and take them down. Art director Thierry Dansereau told Play that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will have a larger but smaller playable area than Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but smaller than Valhalla, so it will be on about the same level as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Most of the game will take place in Honshu, where the events surrounding Oda Nobunaga took place.

Ubisoft will reveal more about Assassin’s Creed Shadows at the Tokyo Game Show, and the game will be released on November 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, Mac and iPad.
