With less than a week to go before most gamers worldwide can dive into EA Sports FC 25, the next big soccer game from Electronic Arts, there’s a little-known way to try out the game early for several hours without pre-ordering it. Here’s how to get access.

For several years, Electronic Arts has been offering a free 10-hour trial of EA Sports FC 25 to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC users. The only requirement is having an EA Play subscription, which costs €6 per month or €40 per year, although this won’t be necessary if you already subscribe to PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Anyone with either service can download the game on PC.

The NME media has provided a detailed guide on how to access the trial on each platform. In short, for PS4 or PS5, players need to link their EA account with PlayStation Network, then go to the PS Store and click on the three dots next to the “Buy” button to find the “Game Trial” option. For Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, go to the “EA Sports FC 25” product page and select “Game Trial” under the Standard version. This allows you to download the game and enjoy it for 10 hours.

For PC, you need to have the EA App installed, then search for EA Sports FC 25 and click the “Download” button. As shown in the image, you’ll see it’s a “10-hour trial included with your EA Play membership”, and your progress will carry over if you buy the game or upgrade to Pro. The latter refers to EA Play Pro, a higher-priced subscription that allows full access to the game for a month at launch, with no time limits and in the best edition.
