Sony Prepares to Launch New Inzone OLED Monitor?

TECH NEWS – If the new monitor is going to be higher resolution, Sony may have to dig deep into our pockets if we want to get one…

Sony isn’t just known for its PlayStation consoles or other devices (TVs, headphones, other audio devices), as it also entered the gaming-focused mini-monitor market in 2022 when it released its first Inzone M9 monitor. Two years have passed since then, and there hasn’t been much talk from Sony about what might come next, but now it seems that the M9 wasn’t a one-off trial run by the company.

It has been revealed on Weibo (essentially a Chinese replacement for Twitter) that Sony will be releasing the first Inzone OLED monitor. This will be the new flagship model, and it looks quite similar to the M9: the bezel, the look, the stand all resemble the older model, but not much is known about the specs and features at the moment. There is another Inzone monitor on the market, the M3, but it’s the cheaper model.

However, as time goes on, competitors are quickly overtaking Sony, as the others are also releasing high quality monitors with features and technologies for gaming, and are now able to compete with professional displays (e.g. for graphics work, TV industry). This is perhaps the biggest challenge for the new Inzone OLED monitor: how can it compete with the others? In fact, we shouldn’t have to wait too long for the answer.

Rumor has it that the new monitor will be in stores on September 25th. It’s not yet known how much, but you can get an idea from the pricing of the Inzone M9. If it has 1440p resolution, you’ll be looking at a price between $800-1000, and if it’s a 4K display, you’ll be paying well over $1000.

None of this is official yet, but Sony will have its work cut out for it.
