However, most of the products sold out within minutes of the sale starting at 10 a.m. on September 26 in Europe. The aesthetics of the PS1 have fueled the flames of nostalgia, but there is also an important element that has increased demand, and that is speculation.
If you visit the PS Direct website, you can see that all of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary products sold out in a matter of minutes. Of course, the PS5 Pro bundle, which included DualSense Edge, DualSense and a disc reader, attracted the most attention. Its price was 1,100 euros, but the truth is that whoever bought it was able to resell it for much more. Because there were only 12,300 pieces in stock, which did not apply to the other, slightly longer-lasting products. PS5 Pro bundles can be seen on sites like eBay for absurdly high prices.
This can be 4x or 5x what it’s worth in the PlayStation Direct store!
In the morning, we could see prices of up to 3,000-7,000 euros on the site. Something similar happened with DualSense Edge, DualSense, PlayStation Portal and PS5 Slim 30th Anniversary Edition. None of these are in stock anymore and are being sold by speculators (“scalpers”) at a significantly higher price than they could be had in PS Direct.
PlayStation is temporarily reducing PS5 prices

This discount is the same as the PS5’s original price when it debuted in 2020 until Sony raised the price in most regions of the world except the US.
