No PS5 Remaster for Bloodborne – But Good News for PC Gamers!

We don’t have much hope for the PS5 version of Bloodborne, but at least there’s finally a PC port…

Contrary to previous rumours, it is highly unlikely that Bloodborne will appear on PlayStation 5. Don’t get me wrong, this is an incredibly good game; there’s no denying that. However, it just wasn’t that big of a PlayStation bestseller. Many of us would love to see a remastered version alongside the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. However, after recent State of Play announcements, it’s increasingly likely that this won’t happen anytime soon.

As we know, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is the latest PlayStation remaster project. The game will be released on October 31st. However, some fans would have preferred to see older titles revamped, such as Bloodborne. I imagine the 2015 game would benefit from the PS5 Pro’s PSSR feature and other innovations.

However, we can all be happy about the fact that we are finally getting a Bloodborne PC port!

Even if it was created entirely by talented fans of the game. As reported by PC Guide, the release of shadPS4 v0.3.0 brought a bit of a breakthrough in the PC emulation of PlayStation 4 games.

This means that some of the PS4 titles are now available, although Twitter user Pirat_Nation warns that this is only possible “to a certain extent” after playing some emulated titles.

With shadPS4 v0.3.0, emulated PS4 games now enjoy cheat support, DLC support, trophy support, additional controller support (including DualSense), and support for additional translated languages. Bloodborne isn’t the only game you can play. Red Dead Redemption and Persona 4 were the other two featured titles.

The shadPS4 emulator is still under development, so there’s still a long way to go before Bloodborne runs on PC the way we’ve always dreamed. That said, it’s a huge step forward. It’s great that PCs can now somewhat enter the incredible city of Yharnam if they feel up to the challenge.

It goes without saying that we will inform you about further developments immediately!
