Red Dead Redemption: PC Release Date and All the New Functions Announced!

John Marston’s Red Dead Redemption adventure, along with Undead Nightmare, will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar Store from October 29.

Good news for fans of the Red Dead Redemption franchise! After many leaks and Rockstar’s slip-ups, it’s finally been confirmed that the first RDR will be coming to PC. Soon, too: John Marston’s adventure, together with the Undead Nightmare content, will be released on October 29. Therefore, take-Two’s legendary game will be introduced to a new audience in a few weeks…

As you can already guess, Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC with a handful of new features.

These are designed to help you get the most out of the platform. “In collaboration with Double Eleven, this new version adds PC-specific enhancements, including native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality,” reads the announcement.

But that’s not all. Rockstar has also ensured that Red Dead Redemption supports NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation and AMD FSR 3.0 graphics options. All this is complemented by the inclusion of additional settings that allow us to adjust the quality of shadows, distant elements and more.

Red Dead Redemption, a must-have western

Red Dead Redemption left a mark on the video game industry with the way it presents the mythical story of John Marston. The icon of anti-heroes in the world of interactive entertainment, who takes justice into his own hands and takes revenge on a group of bandits. The title, available on PlayStation, Xbox and even Nintendo Switch consoles, took many years to land on PC. Fortunately, Rockstar has decided that this year, 2024, we can (re)discover Marston’s adventure through a new platform. After that, what else could follow, but to (again) bring out the second part…?
