MOVIE NEWS – Ray Nicholson can smile just as creepy as his father Jack in Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece The Shining. This may have given Ray the idea to entrust the key scene of Smile 2, in which it is revealed that the smile demon is back among us and taking its victims.Of course, everyone asks Ray about his relationship with his very famous father. So did Deadline.
“We’re very different people,” Ray told the magazine at the Smile 2. fashion show. – He was born in 1937, I was born in 1992. What I care about might leave him cold. Obviously I love it. He is my source of inspiration. At that time, we had dinner together every night. I learned a lot from him about how to be an authentic person. So, to a certain extent, we are similar to each other.”
Ray, however, believes he doesn’t necessarily need to copy the career path of his father, who starred in such unforgettable films as The Gentlemen, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, It won’t be like this or The Brick. According to him, what worked for his father might not work for him, so he knows that he has to go his own way.
The hero of Smile 2 is a young pop star (Naomi Scott), who gets increasingly strange smiles from the people around her, even more and more of them die, from which the well-informed can already guess that the smile demon has arrived and everything is getting much worse.
