Cronos, the new game from Bloober Team, who most recently wrote Silent Hill 2 Remake, will be released in 2025 for Xbox Series, PS5 and PC.
Buoyed by the success of the terrifying remake of Silent Hill 2, the Bloober Team has come full circle. At the recent Xbox event, the developers stirred up a lot of dust when they presented their new time-travelling sci-fi horror adventure. And Cronos: The New Dawn couldn’t look better.
Announced for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5, the game puts you in the role of an agent of the mysterious Collective who travels to Poland in the 1980s to find specific people who didn’t survive the apocalypse in the past. What awaits us there is, of course, a series of nightmarish creatures who will harass us in the “deadly wasteland” that Earth will become after a great cataclysm…
Cronos is a survival horror, but it’s not just about escape
“Our commitment to redefining the horror genre continues with this survival horror, which reflects the natural evolution of our creative vision,” said Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. “Cronos combines the terrifying atmosphere of horror with the vast possibilities of science fiction and promises a unique survival experience,” he added after presenting the first cinematic trailer of the promising game.
Coming next year, in 2025, Cronos: The New Dawn will give us at least one firearm to protect ourselves from the horrors lurking in the shadows.
The first images of the game already hint at a truly spectacular title, the claustrophobic environment of which is provided by Poland itself.
No further details have yet been shared about the promising title reminiscent of The Medium, although these first images and the trailer hint at a fairly traditional survival horror experience, and in a good way. Shortly before the release, it was also revealed that Silent Hill 2 Remake crossed the one million game sales mark, which is a massive success for the return of the classic title.
