Did Apple Reveal M4 MacBook Pro Specs Early?

TECH NEWS – The Cupertino-based company has been on a bit of a tear lately, with leaks of the base model and now the more expensive model has been unofficially leaked.

The smaller 14-inch (35.56 cm) M4 MacBook Pro has also been leaked. On Reddit, Yunseok-12 shared a picture of what he found in Google’s image search and revealed that the base model might also have more memory. The link appears to be authentic, and indeed, you can see in the image below that it’s information from Apple’s website. In other words, the company itself has had an accidental reveal.

So we get a 10-core CPU and GPU, and the memory could be 512 GB or 1 TB. In terms of memory, however, there are a few options: you can ask for 16 GB or even 28 GB in the laptop. So by default you get 16 gigs of RAM, even though it was Apple that defended tooth and nail that 8 GB of RAM was enough for better memory management. So it’s not enough? The answer may be in the subtitle: “Built for Apple Intelligence”. So while 16GB of RAM is the minimum in Windows 11 because of Copilot, here it’s Apple’s artificial intelligence that may have forced the company to expand memory.

It is pointless to try to type the link now, because Apple has also noticed the bug, as it redirects to M3 laptops. By the way, besides the 10-core CPU and GPU, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is exactly the configuration that has landed in the hands of some Russian YouTubers. Based on their Geekbench 6 tests, the laptop outperforms the M4 iPad Pro in both single-core and multi-core scores (despite having the same SoC, or system-on-a-chip).

The 14-inch M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max MacBooks are available in silver and space gray, while the 16-inch MacBook is only available in space black. So it’s not silly that the M4 is described as space gray. The announcement is expected on November 1st.
