Hamster’s New Nightmare: A Fan Recreates a Silent Hill 2 Remake Room in Miniature! [VIDEO]

One fan was so inspired by Bloober Team’s remake that he created a miniature version of it.

The original Silent Hill 2 is considered one of the best horror games ever made, and it was a difficult task for the Polish studio to create a remake worthy of the title. However, the reception so far seems to be good (both in terms of reviews and player feedback, with over 1 million copies sold so far; that’s the official figure at the moment), and it’s no wonder that it inspired someone.

Room 312 in Silent Hill 2 is a place of peace and hope. It so inspired a white user on Reddit named Fit-Understanding79 that he made a miniature version of it for his hamster! In the game, James travels to the Lakeview Hotel to find his deceased wife Mary and discover the true reason why he’s in Silent Hill. A simple letter from Mary tells him that she is waiting for him “in her special place”, which is room 312 of the hotel. It’s an important scene, and the Reddit user has finally recreated it out of cardboard, reworking the most intricate details.

Other commenters pointed out the attention to detail, even going so far as to mention the floral wallpaper and curtains. The chair and television are also present in the mini-312. Many people remembered what it was like to enter this room for the first time in the original game developed by Team Silent. Others said that seeing this should have given the remake not only a dog ending, but a hamster ending as well.

Silent Hill 2 was released on October 8th for PlayStation 5 and PC. It will also appear on the Xbox Series later, but we’ll have to wait another year for that, as Sony and Konami have agreed that PlayStation 5 will be console-exclusive for one year, so it won’t be available on Microsoft’s current-gen hardware until October 8, 2025 at the earliest.
