The first season of Delta Force, titled “Genesis,” could arrive before the end of the year…

We’re happy to see that Steam Next Fest is a big event for many developers, and, indeed, there are always clear favourites. At the last event, one of the most popular games on the platform was Delta Force (formerly Hawk Ops), a military shooter. Valve’s API peaked at nearly 40,000 concurrent players, and it looks like it’s going to be a worthy competitor to games like Battlefield.

So much so that its developers have decided to bring their product’s release date forward as soon as possible!

Until now, Delta Force was expected to arrive sometime in 2025 at an unspecified date. However, Team Jade announced in-game that the game will be released on December 5th, just a few days before the Game Awards.

Delta Force Open Beta

The message says the date change is due to the development team moving faster than expected. The feedback from curious testers has been generally very positive. The version that will debut in just over a month will be considered a “global open beta” instead of the previous “early access” – the terminology is getting vaguer by the day – and will correspond to the “initial release of Delta Force”.

This means that, unlike previous tests, progress will finally be continuous, and the content will function according to the expected service routines. In fact, it will all start right away with the first season, which has been named Genesis. The message ends with a commitment: the creators will release new modes, content, and improvements in the coming days.
