TECH NEWS – In the last two decades, the structure of the residential telecommunications market has changed significantly. Hungarian households are using an increasing number of digital devices, even grandparents are online, and the digital openness of the new generation is a fundamental part of their way of life. This growing demand for internet access needs to be supported by domestic network developments.
Yettel Hungary recently made a significant investment of several tens of billions of forints in order to modernize its mobile network. The years-long development is coming to an end, as a result of which the capacity of the 4G technology, which has 99% nationwide coverage per population, has increased to 2-3x the previous one, and has opened the way for the introduction of the latest 5G technology, which is now available in nearly 1,000 base stations available nationwide. In the digital catch-up of society and the digital development of the economy, the national availability of the Internet network plays a prominent role, and thanks to the developments, mobile networks are now able to provide quality competitive with the wired Internet in many cases for both households and businesses. The capacity of the 4G network achieved a significant increase nationally, while the 5G developments were initially focused on busier, more densely populated areas. We have not reached the end of the work, we are conducting further developments in the country by examining the network and customer needs together.” Balázs Mang, Yettel Hungary’s technology strategy director, said. – “All this provides Yettel Full service package users with a great foundation for the perfect telecommunications experience.” – he added.
