If you’ve ever dreamed of making the surface of the Earth uninhabitable while hell becomes more and more tempting, you’ll experience it in this game from Piraknights Games and Team17…
In Sintopia, you will demonstrate your hellish existence to the Humus populating the overworld by casting spells and influencing sins. Rule over your rabble of employees in the bureaucratic administration of Hell as they punish the dead souls and generate profit to help you build and maintain your hellish empire! Sintopia mixes all the sandbox fun of a God game with the deep systems and processes of a management sim, all packaged in a 1980’s pop culture hellscape.
Being the administrator of Hell comes with many perks. Among them is the ability to use administrative magic to influence the world above you. If one of the Humu gets a little too sinful… or just too slow for your liking, you can give them some “motivation” with the Zap spell or set their house on fire while they are inside. The choice is yours.
Mold the caves of hell to your own deepest and darkest desires. Yes, there will be paperwork, but one of the employees you hire will take care of it. You need more time to live out your hellish architectural fantasies. Make sure your souls go through effective “re-education” to avoid accumulating their sins over many lives… no one wants to face the demonic invasion that will inevitably result from too much corruption in the world. So keep an eye on those levels or your efficiency scores will take a hit, and more importantly, your profits… a true abomination.
Sintopia will be released in Early Access, and this is how the developers justify it: “Sintopia is an unusual game to say the least. The hybrid genre of a management / builder / god game is not something that has been done many times before. We want to test our vision against player experience and feedback, measure if everything is just right, and iterate with players until the final release. By giving the community an early version of the game as soon as possible, we can make sure the game is as good as it can be. We intend for Early Access to last a little over a year. Our goal is to complete the development of the planned content, but also to take into account player feedback. If the former can be measured accurately today, the latter is still to be determined.
Sintopia will be released in Early Access on Steam in 2025.
