The Last of Us Part II Free Download Now Available on PS5 Pro – Enjoy the Game’s Latest Enhancements

The free update for The Last of Us Part II is officially here, so players can finally enjoy the latest improvements to the game on PS5 Pro.

PlayStation 5 Pro is now available worldwide, and a number of free game add-ons are available on the platform. One such update is for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II Remastered, and the PS5 Pro version is among the first to receive confirmation. The free update was made available earlier, allowing players to pre-download it to be ready for the console’s release date.

That day has already arrived, which means that the update has finally been fully activated. Those who are now diving into The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PS5 Pro will experience the latest improvements to the game.

The Last of Us Part I is also included in the same package, so you can even try out Sony’s latest console by playing both titles. As for the update of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, we have the detailed patch notes.

The updated version takes advantage of PS5 Pro’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology. A new Pro mode renders at 1440p, while PSSR upscales the output to 4K while targeting 60 fps. Performance and Fidelity rendering modes are still available, offering a smoother experience and higher frame rates compared to the base PS5 version.

Many common bugs have also been fixed for all players regardless of console.

The update fixed an issue where certain trophies would not unlock after importing PS4 saves, where Abby’s torso could disappear while switching between bonus outfits, and Dina being captured another time while escaping in the subway.

Also, several fixes were made to No Return mode, where some kill types were not included in the player’s stats. In relation to the audio, a bug where the tracks did not progress properly during fast playback was fixed. Added support for accessibility settings, so more PS5 accessibility settings are reflected in the game, and made several language localization tweaks.
