MOVIE NEWS – Wade will be teaming up with his daughter to take down Spider-Man. Oh, and Spider-Man is a vampire now. Deal with it.
Deadpool and Spider-Man are set to clash this February, and Deadpool won’t be fighting alone—he’s bringing his daughter along for the ride. Marvel Comics confirmed the wild showdown last night in an official press release, announcing that the two will square off in four crossover issues: Deadpool #11-12 and Miles Morales: Spider-Man #30-31. The “Pools of Blood” event was first teased back in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #25, when Miles bumped into Eleanor “Ellie” Camacho—Wade Wilson’s biological daughter.
Wait, Deadpool has a daughter?!
If this is news to you, don’t worry—it was news to him too.
Ellie made her debut in 2013’s Deadpool Vol. 5 #19, where her mother, Carmelita Camacho, revealed she had been raising Ellie alone for years without Wade knowing. Ellie resurfaced much more recently in Deadpool Vol. 10 #7, now all grown up and using the powers tied to her newly awakened x-gene. Following in her dad’s footsteps, Ellie has embraced the mercenary lifestyle, earning the nickname “Cutie-Pool” from fans—and Wade himself.
So, why do they both want Miles Morales dead?
Someone is paying them to kill him—because Miles Morales is a vampire now.
Why is Miles a vampire? Just roll with it. Also, Wade Wilson previously died and is being resurrected just for this crossover. Comic book logic at its finest. It seems Miles and Ellie may develop an ongoing connection, much like Peter Parker and Wade’s chaotic frenemy relationship.
To see how it all plays out, check out the first “Pools of Blood” issue, Deadpool #11, hitting shelves on February 12, 2025.
