Many would have loved it, but it was canceled. A trailer for a LEGO video game based on the 007 James Bond films has surfaced. Developer TT Games had proposed a James Bond-themed game to The LEGO Group, but the project was ultimately rejected.

With their signature humor and unique gameplay, LEGO games have become staples of family entertainment, enjoyed by players of all ages. 

Despite LEGO’s successful partnerships, not all projects make it to the finish line. If you were hoping for a 007 James Bond LEGO game, here’s the bad news: A trailer recently surfaced on Reddit for a title TT Games had in the works, but it never progressed to development. The trailer, set in the LEGO Dimensions universe, showcased iconic scenes from James Bond films. 

Reports indicate that The LEGO Group rejected the project, halting development before it began. The unfinished look of the trailer reflects this. The cancellation was reportedly due to the violent and suggestive scenes found in James Bond films, which made adapting the content for a child-friendly audience challenging. 

The Latest LEGO Game 

Recently, LEGO: Horizon Adventures was released, developed by Guerrilla Games. This title brought Sony’s franchise to new audiences and platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. While LEGO: Horizon Adventures was the weakest PlayStation launch on PC, the company reinvented itself with a family-focused title that diverges from its previous mechanics.
