Kingmakers will debut on PC in early access before the end of Q1 2025…
Medieval games are still very popular for many people. However, when we implement modern elements into these titles, we get a game as bizarre and fun as Kingmakers. You may have already encountered it once or twice, but now we can tell you that it may be a main character in the coming weeks, as its release is approaching and we finally know the approximate release date.
We don’t have to wait long to play Kingmakers.
According to the press release, the game developed by Redemption Road Games will debut on Steam before the end of Q1 2025. We will find out the specific date and day in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the creators wanted to raise the anticipation with a new trailer, which you can see embedded at the end of the article. The medieval sandbox has several surprises in store for players who buy it.
The tinyBuild studio boasts that “the game is on over a million wishlists,” as the epic blend of third-person shooter, city-building, and real-time strategy set in a medieval world has caught the attention of hundreds of thousands of players. In medieval Europe, it’s not every day that you get the chance to destroy the enemy with an AK and a grenade launcher, and here you’ll be able to use a whole arsenal.
More about Kingmakers
Kingmakers uses an artificial intelligence that is capable of providing a realistic combat experience. The shooter/strategy game simulates a real-time battle in which thousands of soldiers fight simultaneously. It combines this with a procedural animation system that achieves a higher level of detail than we’re used to in other titles. From simple handguns to RPGs, the repertoire is quite vast.
The same applies to combat vehicles: helicopters, tanks, motorbikes, etc. – you can even call for an air strike! We will be able to switch between the roles of warrior and commander and help our soldiers from a panoramic top view. Only in this way will we have a better chance of winning in a battle in which up to 3 people can participate in co-op. (Each has hundreds, if not thousands, of AI soldiers.) Archers, swordsmen, spearmen and horsemen can fight or build fortifications, but the online co-op mode is what will take the medieval multiplayer experience to the next level, if everything is true…
