[TGA 2024] FragPunk: NetEase’s New Overwatch-Inspired Shooter Expands to Another Console! [VIDEO]

Bad Guitar Studio, part of Thunder Fire Studio, and NetEase are not only trying to compete with Marvel Rivals in Overwatch but also with a project of their own.

FragPunk is a fast-paced 5v5 hero shooter with power-up cards that change the rules of each round! Choose your hero, choose your weapons, and choose from a selection of cards that dramatically change the rules of engagement! No two rounds of FragPunk are ever the same. Explore over 70 shard cards with an activatable selection that changes each round, creating new and unique combinations that offer endless possibilities! Cards can increase your jump height, reverse the roles of attacker and defender, engulf your bullets in flame or turn them into chain lightning, and even resurrect you and your team!

Each round lasts about 2.5 minutes, so get moving! The short TTK means you need to aim well and react quickly to win the battle. Choose from 10 heroes with different abilities, customize your weapon combo, choose your cards, and prepare for battle! Choose your favorite hero from a selection of 10, each with their own unique abilities. Find your favorite weapons among the 15 available, some of which have special abilities like shooting faster over time, bursts, and more!

Discover new hero, weapon, and map combinations and develop your unique fighting style! Expect rich map designs and mixed visual effects, including collages, graffiti, and a mix of realistic and stylized textures. Feast your eyes on bold colors, sharp shapes, and dynamic lines to give you a varied visual experience as the bullets fly.

FragPunk will be a free-to-play game and will be available on March 6th for Xbox Series and PC… and PlayStation 5, the new target platform. Will the cards save the Chinese tech company’s game from being quickly forgotten?
