In-House PlayStation Game: Xbox Port on the Way?

It’s a game that has been missing from the Redmond-based tech giant’s console duo so far, but rumor has it that it will eventually find its way to the Xbox lineup…

The game in question is both an in-house development… and not because while Guerrilla Games has done some work on the project, it’s mostly associated with Studio Gobo. What game is it? Lego Horizon Adventures, which was released for PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, but not for the Xbox Series. (We also wrote about the stupid reasoning behind the omission of Microsoft’s console…)

First, an Algerian website, Just Play It, reported yesterday that they think an Xbox port of Lego Horizon Adventures is coming, and that it will be released in a few months, in early 2025 (they only have a week this year, because there’s no way it will come between the two holidays). The problem is that the publication cited unknown sources. But later, Tom Henderson wrote about it on his own site, Insider Gaming. He was the first to report the existence of the game back in May.

According to SteamDB, Lego Horizon Adventures hasn’t done much to excite PC gamers after its release in mid-November, with a maximum of 602 concurrent players, which is very low. This is even worse than Concord, and that was a multiplayer title! And that’s why Sony might be considering bringing the game to Microsoft’s console, which certainly hasn’t met its internal sales targets…

But if that’s the case, the story might not be that simple. The port may have already been created by Sony, so it could have been in the works before Lego Horizon Adventures was released. Sony, by the way, only has one franchise coming to Xbox, but it’s an annual licensed sports game, MLB The Show, being developed by San Diego Studio.

The Xbox port of Lego Horizon Adventures is not official yet!
