A pretty outlandish theory has surfaced about Rockstar Games and Take-Two’s game, and it’s so unbelievable it’s hard to believe…
In the Grand Theft Auto VI subreddit, the latest theory is linked to the moon, Bonnie and Clyde’s identification order, and a license plate. Everything points to the number 27, which is why the public thinks the game will get a new video on Friday, December 27. It all started on Twitter when a Rockstar developer’s comments were analyzed by the Grand Theft Auto VI leaks account. To the uninitiated eye, all you can see is a Rockstar Games sweatshirt, a paper bag and a cat, but if you look closely, the cat hair on the sweatshirt is shaped like a VI and the phone number on the piece of paper next to the sweatshirt belongs to a store called 27 Auto Sales. After that, the drawer was searched for anything related to 27… and found quite a few things.
GTA 6 moon theory is BACK!!
The 2nd Waning Gibbous moon phase is back again TOMORROW, December 20th. Trailer 2 announcement/release could be tomorrow as the 1st moon theory predicted the announcement of Trailer 1
If tomorrow is not the day, the next Waning Gibbous is January… pic.twitter.com/0UIdYFHhgM

There are 27 posts on Rockstar Games’ Instagram, in the last trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI at 27 seconds there is a pink car with 27 on the back window, and the numbers on the license plate of the Los Santos State Trooper car add up to 27, but it’s not that simple. There are those who say there are 27 days in a lunar cycle, which has reignited theories about the moon. Players assumed that the next trailer would be released on a waning Gibbous Moon, all because someone spotted it in a GTA Online update. On December 1, 2023, the day the first GTA 6 trailer was released, there was also a waning Gibbous Moon, leading gamers to believe that Rockstar Games follows the lunar cycle when planning major releases.
The GTA VI Moon-cycle theory is correct after all (with proof)

It’s crazy, but it makes sense: the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on October 20, 2016, and the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption (My Name is John Marsto) was released on November 30, 2009; both were in the waning gibbous moon phase. If Grand Theft Auto VI follows tradition and there is no video on December 27th, the next time could be January 19th. Another, more scientific theory uses the common Roman calendar to figure out that December 27th V, also known as the feast of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, could mean we’ll get a St. John Grand Theft Auto VI cameo, because at this point anything seems possible. Allegedly, Bonnie and Clyde’s ID number was 1227. 12.27 is actually associated with December 27, and Bonnie and Clyde were apparently the inspiration for the two main characters in GTA 6, so there could be something to that.
Pretty wild theories, but who knows?
