You don’t even need a PlayStation Plus subscription to get what Sony has suddenly brought to PlayStation Store… it could be a Christmas miracle.
So what are they that don’t require a PlayStation Plus Premium, PlayStation Plus Extra or PlayStation Plus Essential subscription? Five new demos have just appeared on PlayStation Store. They’re not full games by any means, but they’ll give you a taste of what’s to come. So what are they?
The first is Subside, which aims to be an immersive experience. It brings the beauty and horror of the abyss into VR, and if you liked Subnautica, you’ll like this. The second title is Dragon Age: The Veilguard Character Creator. This is a bit tricky because it’s not really a demo, it’s (as the name suggests) just a character creator. You can create Rook and then have exactly the character you want in BioWare’s game.
The third is Horror Adventure: Zombie Edition, which is a post-apocalyptic world where you have to fight your way through everything to survive. We’ve seen this more than once, but never mind. In the fourth title, Aikyam, we can turn our attention to Bollywood. The mayor mysteriously disappears and it’s up to us to find him in this fantasy RPG. Finally, the fifth title on our list is Leif’s Adventure: Netherworld Hero. This one requires teamwork to complete the action-packed adventure, but in the meantime, it’s worth taking the time to explore the hand-drawn art style. Puzzles, battles and secrets abound in this game. And that’s it for the five demos.
As we’ve written before, the demos are all free to play, and none of them require an active PlayStation Plus subscription. So if you need something new to play, you might as well find something you like. Have a look and see if there’s something interesting in there.
