Nintendo’s yet to be officially named platform, but already known to all thanks to the many leaks, has revealed another element of its Switch successor, while the big N remains silent.
Lately, not a day goes by without some kind of leak about the big N’s next platform (that could change tomorrow, although there’s still likely to be a Christmas lull), and this time we report on NextHandheld’s tweet: he’s shared the Nintendo Switch 2 dock. The caption says “it’s all generated by AI”, which perhaps suggests that everything around the dock has been created using generative AI, while the dock itself is indeed what we’d expect, and with older leaks this image matches them anyway, so it really does look like it could even be considered an authentic image.

The background has been changed by NextHandheld to avoid revealing its identity (remember, the big N is the company that both chases emulation with pitchforks and takes fan projects off the Internet…), and we can’t see exactly where the image (or its original) was taken. This is a logical and understandable move on the part of the supposed journalist (that’s what he calls himself in his Twitter bio).
The Nintendo Switch 2 is rumored to be powered by Nvidia’s Tegra T239 chip, and we recently wrote about when it might be released and how much initial stock it might have (we strongly suspect a typo in the latter case), with the Japanese company only officially saying that its unveiling would happen by the end of March. The same will be the release, but that’s very incomprehensible, because we’ve already written that Nintendo supposedly has silicon ready for a long time, but is just waiting for the release…
As always, we have to stress that this is not official!
