LG TV owners will soon enjoy cloud gaming without needing a console, thanks to the Xbox app.
Microsoft has announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming will launch on select LG smart TVs later this year.
This feature allows Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream and play their games directly from the Xbox app on compatible TVs using Xbox Cloud Gaming.
In November, Xbox introduced a feature enabling Game Pass Ultimate members to stream select games they own, even those outside the Game Pass catalog, via cloud gaming on PCs, smartphones, tablets, handheld consoles, and any device with a web browser.
This same feature, coming to consoles and the Xbox app for PC in 2025, will also roll out for LG TVs.
Microsoft stated that more information about Xbox Cloud Gaming on LG TVs will be revealed in the coming months.
Xbox Cloud Gaming has been available on Samsung TVs since 2022 and is also supported on Meta Quest VR headsets and select Amazon Fire TV Stick devices.
Last November, Microsoft launched the “This is an Xbox” marketing campaign to showcase the variety of devices capable of running Xbox games.
Recent Game Pass additions include Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled in December. This month, Carrion and Road 96 joined the lineup, with Call of Duty: World at War and Singularity expected to arrive later this year.
