The system requirements for Ubisoft’s game have been released, and you’ll need a pretty powerful video card to play it on the highest graphics settings.
Let’s have a look at the system requirements. There are two categories, as there is selective ray tracing and general ray tracing, which means you can’t get away with ray tracing this time either. In all cases, Windows 10/11 operating system, use of SSD and 16 GB RAM are system requirements, as well as an Internet connection (for Denuvo and our memory monitoring).
Selective ray tracing
Minimum system requirements – 1080p, 30 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), low graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K/AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070/AMD Radeon RX 5700/Intel Arc A580 (with Resizable Bar enabled)
- VRAM: 8 GB
Recommended system requirements – 1080p, 60 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), medium graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-11600K/AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (8 GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB VRAM)/Intel Arc B580 (12 GB VRAM, with Resizable Bar enabled)
High system requirements – 1440p, 60 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), high graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-11600K/AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 (10 GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16 GB VRAM)
Enthusiast system requirements – 4K, 60 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), high graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i7-12700K/AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (16 GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT (20 GB VRAM)
Standard ray tracing:
Minimum system requirements – 1080p, 30 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), high graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K/AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (8 GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB VRAM)/Intel Arc B580 (12 GB VRAM, with Resizable Bar enabled)
Recommended system requirements – 1440p, 60 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), high graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-11600K/AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super (12 GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (16 GB VRAM)
Fan system requirements – 1440p, 60 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), ultra graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i7-13700K/AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 (16 GB VRAM)
Extreme system requirements – 4K, 60 FPS (with dynamic resolution and upscaling), high graphics preset:
- Processor: Intel Core i7-13700K/AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 (24 GB VRAM)
Interestingly, Nvidia’s RTX 5000 cards based on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture were not included. The PC port will support ray traced global illumination and reflection, HDR, ultra wide and dynamic resolutions, will have an unlimited frame rate, will support Nvidia Surround and AMD Eyefinity, as well as three upscalers (Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, Intel XeSS 2). There will also be a benchmark tool for performance analysis.
The base edition of the game will cost $70, the Digital Deluxe edition will cost $90, and the Collector’s Edition will cost $230. In addition to the base game, the Digita Deluxe includes the Sekiryu Dual Pack (Naoe and Yasuke’s gear and weapons), the Sekiryu Hideout Pack (hideout cosmetics), and Mastery Points. The Collector’s Edition also includes physical content (steelbook, world map, Naoe and Yasuke figurines, Naoe life-size katana tsuba, a wall creed scroll, a 76-page collector’s art book, and 2 sumi-e lithographs).
Pre-orders will include the previously leaked Claws of Awaji DLC, which will be released sometime this year. It will add a new open-world region with over 10 hours of gameplay, as well as new skills, equipment, abilities, and a new weapon for Naoe, the Bō. Set on the mysterious island of Awaji, our heroes will be relentlessly pursued by Sanzoku Ippa, a dangerous new faction threatening the region.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on March 20th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, Amazon Luna and Mac.
