Hello Games continues to bombard No Man’s Sky with free updates, and the latest content expansion is also free… while Starfield’s Shattered Space DLC (which is paid) is almost laughable!
The new update for No Man’s Sky is called Worlds Part II, and it’s the ninth expansion for the game, while the studio is also working on Light No Fire. The world is even bigger than before, with many new solar systems and planets added to the game. These have been given new biomes and surfaces and are also waiting for players to explore. Sean Murray’s hardworking team has also delved deep into the surface, which is much more detailed than before. There are hills, canyons and water.
A major new feature in No Man’s Sky: Worlds Part II is the introduction of gas planets. These are ten times larger than the previous planets, so you’ll be orbiting them in no time. The gas giants will be easily visible from other planets, but conditions on the surface are often turbulent, so they won’t be easy to spot, but not for nothing: they are endgame content, so it will be very exciting to get a closer look.
A new feature in Worlds Part II is deep sea diving, where you can go deeper underwater than ever before. You’ll also encounter new creatures in the depths of the ocean, such as giant squids and seahorses, but you’ll want to be careful because these oceans are dangerous and can be frightening to explore because they’re only lit by the coral in the water. And that’s just a fraction of the gigantic (really gigantic) patch note, so Hello Games has really put a huge update in front of the public.
After this, Bethesda Game Studios and Todd Howard plan to release an update for Starfield every year. Maybe it’s because the studio sees that Hello Games is honestly expanding their game… however, they’re doing it for free.
