Publisher Nacon and developer Rogue Factor have officially announced the release date for Hell is Us during PlayStation’s February 2025 State of Play event. The highly anticipated action-adventure game is set to launch on September 4, 2025, for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Pre-orders are now live on the PlayStation Store, with Xbox and PC pre-orders opening in the coming days.

After previously teasing its eerie and mysterious world, the latest trailer provides a deeper look at the game’s intricate narrative and its enigmatic protagonist, Rémi. The newly released footage also highlights the involvement of Elias Toufexis, who voices Rémi in the English-language version. Toufexis is widely recognized for his work in television (Star Trek: Discovery, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, The Expanse) and video games, having lent his voice to major franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, and Starfield. However, he is best known for portraying Adam Jensen in the Deus Ex series. Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, the artistic and creative director of Hell is Us, had previously collaborated with Toufexis when he was in charge of the Deus Ex franchise’s art direction.

Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure game that blends melee combat, exploration, and a gripping narrative. Designed with a “Player-Plattering” approach, the game encourages players to rely on their instincts rather than conventional waypoints, harking back to the roots of classic adventure games by eliminating intrusive guidance.

Players will take on the role of Rémi, a man searching for the truth about his past in a war-ravaged nation. This isolated country harbors a chilling secret: supernatural beings have begun to appear, their forms resembling long-forgotten tombstones and ancient monuments. Armed with weapons specifically forged to fight these entities, Rémi must master his arsenal and uncover the dark mysteries hidden within the world of Hell is Us.
