iPhone 16e: The New Name for iPhone SE 4

TECH NEWS – The Cupertino-based company has announced a new budget device that replaces several older models.

The home button and thicker bezels seen on previous iPhone SE models have disappeared, replaced by a notch. The design is inspired by the iPhone 14, but we get an OLED display with high resolution and brighter colors. The notch houses the front-facing camera and Face ID technology. The action button has also appeared. The device is powered by the A18 chip, which also powers the iPhone 16 and its Plus model. With a more powerful chip, the battery will last longer and you may also be able to run better games. It has 8GB of RAM. This is essential for Apple Intelligence,

Of course, Apple has left a few things out of the cheaper model. There aren’t multiple camera sensors on the back of the device, just one, but at least the quality of the one that is there has improved, as the previous cheap iPhone had a 12 megapixel sensor. This has been replaced by a 48MP one, so with better HDR it’s possible to take better and more detailed photos in low light conditions. The front camera is 12 MP. Because of the EU, there’s a USB-C port on the device, but the phone has a C1 5G modem that Apple made in-house, so the company is less reliant on Qualcomm. The company claims that this modem will provide faster download speeds, but we don’t know yet if it can really do that compared to Qualcomm’s technology.

The Apple iPhone 16e is available in the United States for $600. With the launch of the device, Apple has introduced 64 GB of storage space to other phones. From now on, 128 GB is the minimum. In addition, several older models are no longer officially available. The iPhone SE, the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus are no longer available.

So the low-cost device has made some compromises, and the question remains: how big is the battery in the iPhone 16e?
