It seems that Vicarious Visions, the developers of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, have not been deterred by Blizzard’s leaning towards a remaster/remake…
In June 2022, it’s been two and a half years since we heard what Tony Hawk said: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 was in the works before Vicarious Visions became part of Blizzard. After that, fans had every right to believe that it would never be made. However, a Spanish insider, eXtas1s, claims that it is, and that it will be quietly revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase in June!
“A professional skater who is already featured in Tony Hawk 1 + 2 – I’m talking about Tyshawn Jones, an Adidas athlete – has confirmed on the Breakfast Club podcast that a new remastered Tony Hawk game is coming soon. I’m talking about a codename at Microsoft, Project Chicago, which is none other than Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. We already have the 1 + 2 remaster, and now the 3 + 4 remaster is on the way; like this guy said, it’s coming soon. It’s a video game that will be released in 2025. This one is actually scheduled for June 2025.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be available right after the Xbox Summer Showcase, which means they’re going to do a surprise drop at the Sunday showcase. That surprise drop is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Remaster. It’ll be available on Game Pass on day one, and you can also buy it on Steam and PlayStation 5. As for Nintendo Switch 2, I can’t make any promises because I don’t know, but this Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4 will drop as a surprise at the showcase. I was just waiting for some statements from people like Tyshawn Jones to confirm it,” the insider said.
The Redmond-based company has a history of suddenly releasing games. There’s Tango Gamemasters’ Hi-Fi Rush, which has since been relaunched as Krafton, or Team Ninja’s Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. It’s a clever marketing ploy, but no word yet on whether Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will follow suit.
